Bus A/C Evaporators
Evaporator coils and complete evaporator assemblies for rear, mid-ship, and dash units on school and shuttle buses. A freezing or starved evaporator usually traces back to airflow (dirty filter, failing blower) or a metering problem (expansion valve), so check both before replacing the coil.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my evaporator keep icing up?
Low airflow or low refrigerant charge. A dirty return filter, a dying blower motor, or a slipped blower wheel drops airflow below what the coil needs; low charge drops coil pressure below freezing. Fix airflow first — it's cheaper.
Do you carry complete evaporator units or just coils?
Both, depending on the system. Coils for the common Trans/Air and MCC assemblies, and complete units where the OEM services them that way.
